The STM Billet Aluminum Slim Radiator for the Evo 7/8/9 models features a streamline billet aluminum top and slim design. The upper radiator hose fitting is located to the right of the engine bay, making room for larger exhaust manifolds. Includes interchangeable fittings for use with factory-style radiator hoses or for -16AN lines.
This radiator does not have a bung for a radiator cap and will utilize the STM Water Neck for Radiator Cap Relocation moving the cap to the highest point in the cooling system. Perfect fit to the factory mounting points and won’t stretch out your bracket bushings. This radiator also does not have a drain port. The radiator with fittings weighs 11.85 pounds.
Vehicle Fitment:
2001-2006 Mitsubishi Evolution VII VIII IX
• Does not fit with factory air box
• Requires Evo 4/5/6 upper hose or -16AN fittings and line
• Must remove rubber bushings in A/C condenser
• Requires radiator cap relocation
Suggested for Install:
• STM Water Neck for Radiator Cap Relocation
• Samco Hoses
• -16AN Upper Hose
• -16AN Lower Hose
Includes:
• Radiator
• Fittings for OEM Hoses
• Fittings for -16AN Line
• Extra Fittings (note, two small fittings will not be needed for Evo)
• Mounting Hardware for A/C Condenser:
(2) M6x20 Stainless Bolts (MS2550020A20000)
(2) M6 Stainless Nuts (MN2550000A20000)
(2) M6 Stainless Fender Washers (WC6360000A20000)
Billet Tanks:
The billet aluminum top and bottom tanks look amazing in the engine bay. This design places the radiator hose bung to the right of the engine bay, clearing room for larger manifolds. Two screw-in fitting styles are included for use with either OEM style hoses or -16AN fittings and line.
Radiator Cap:
The top tank does not have a port for a radiator cap. You will need a STM Water Neck for Radiator Cap Relocation. They are sold separately as they are different for Evo 7/8 or Evo 9 models. This places the radiator cap at the highest point in the cooling system. Also it looks awesome. v
Drain Bung:
This radiator does NOT have a drain bung.
Finish:
These will ship with the bare, billet finish as pictured. In the installed photos, the original design is pictured with a custom polished finish. We will have new photos soon!
A/C Condenser Adjustment:
If you still have A/C, the condenser needs to be adjusted forward for a proper fitment. There are two mounting bolts on the top ends of the condenser. Remove the spacer and bolt it back in place using the included stainless hardware. This allows the condenser to sit forward another 1/4 inch. The car pictured has A/C, as installed.

• 1 5/8″ Tank Width
Features:
• Billet aluminum top & bottom tanks
• Interchangeable outlets for OEM or -16AN lines
• Relocates the cap for a seamless presentation
• CSF “B-Tube” Technology Radiator Core
• 15% more heat transfer surface area over regular oval “O” shape designs
• Shorter 6.5mm fins yield ~25% more tubes and surface area in the core vs other cores
CSF Core:
Utilizes a custom sized CSF “B-Tube” Technology Core, which offers a thinner and lighter aircraft grade special clad aluminum material for better cooling efficiency and “dual liquid laminar flow.” The CSF “B” design is actually stronger than normal “O” designs and increases the heat transfer surface area of the tube by approximately 15% over regular tubes. No other aftermarket radiator manufacturer uses this technology, raising the bar for high performance radiator cores. The CSF Core also features a smaller 6.5mm fin height – where most standard radiator designs use an 8mm fin – giving us ~25% more tubes and surface area in the core versus other radiator cores.
Radiator Core CSF “B-Tube” Technology.
Unlike a regular oval shape “O” type radiator tube, CSF uses a specially engineered tube in a shape of a “B”. These “B-tubes” are carefully formed and then brazed over the seam to seal. CSF is able to use thinner and lighter aluminum material (better cooling efficiency) because this design is actually stronger than normal “O” shape tubes that are welded.
The design (inlet in the middle of tube that is seam brazed) increases the heat transfer surface area of the tube by approximately 15% over regular tubes. You get the efficiency of 2 smaller tubes vs. 1 large tube within the same space criteria. With “B-tubes” you are able to get “dual liquid laminar flow.”
The tubes are made from aircraft grade special clad aluminum and are intricately formed on the CSF high precision 6-stage tube forming mill. No other aftermarket radiator manufacturer uses this technology. This technology raises the bar and sets the standard for high performance radiator cores.
The CSF “B-Tube” Technology Core also features a high performance multi-louvered fin with a smaller 6.5mm fin height – where most standard radiator designs use an 8mm fin – giving us ~25% more tubes and surface area in the core versus other radiator cores.
