About BC Crankshafts:
BC crankshafts are crafted from top-quality aerospace grade 4340 steel billet. They are CNC machined on advanced 5-axis Mazak Integrex 300-IV machines to precise tolerances (.0001″). Each crankshaft has large radius journals for added rigidity in high horsepower, high boost, and high rpm applications. The gun-drilled, CNC-ground oil holes have a smooth surface for better oiling, with tear-dropped scoops and cross-drilling for priority main feeding to the rods, and a micro-polished finish for optimal bearing lubrication. All cranks undergo stress relief, shot peening, magna flux inspection, and nitriding for ultimate performance. Fully profiled counterweights minimize windage through the crankcase, reducing oil resistance for better RPM potential.
About BC Connecting Rods:
BC connecting rods are CNC machined from aerospace grade 4340 steel billet and are available in either the European-influenced H-beam or the traditional I-beam design (for certain applications). Each rod features a deep, double-ribbed cap that keeps the big end housing bore true at high RPM, ensuring uniform bearing crush for superior oil supply and maximum load carrying capacity. H-beam rods include a deep radial groove pin bushing with oil holes at 5 and 7 o’clock, bringing critical lubrication to the wrist pin area. I-beam rods have an oil hole at the 12 o’clock position to maintain the pin end bore at high boost. They are available with either ARP2000 fasteners (rated to 210,000 psi) or ARP’s Custom Age 625+ fasteners (rated to 280,000 psi).
Piston Options:
Select from top piston brands such as CP or JE, available in any desired bore size and compression ratio. Both brands create custom BC stroker pistons from 2618 T6 high-tensile-strength forged aluminum. These forgings are computer-designed for strength and minimal weight. Each piston diameter is CNC machined to ensure optimal accuracy and superior grain flow during the forging process. Utilizing 3D modeling software and rigorous Finite Element Analysis, your pistons are crafted to be as strong and light as possible. Features include tighter clearances, less noise, better ring seal, and overall improved durability. Standard features include pin fit, carbon steel wrist pins, and spiral locks or rail supports depending on the application. Additional options include upgraded 9310 alloy wrist pins for reduced flex, lateral gas ports for better ring seal, and skirt and top coatings for a lightweight design.
