When you choose the AMS Performance Audi R8 / Lamborghini Huracan Suspension System, it allows the rear end of your R8 or Huracan to load the tires more smoothly and at a controlled rate during a launch – improving traction and laying more power to the ground. The result you get from this suspension system is consistent and improved 60ft times as well as lower ET’s. In some cases of extreme power levels, returning the front wheels to the ground after a launch is required. The AMS V10 Suspension has even been designed with this transition in mind to smoothly return the tires to the track surface while minimally upsetting the attitude of the chassis.

When our AMS Race Team first started competitively campaigning the Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan platforms, we quickly found that equipping them with racing slick tires while still on the factory suspension was an outright dangerous track experience. Wheel spin, excessive and harsh weight transfer, and pitch attitude are some of the qualities we needed to rectify with various suspension setting adjustability.
Many factors come into play when adjusting your suspension for ideal traction, both when launching the car at the strip or during aggressive cornering at the track. When considering track conditions, your horsepower level, tire selection, and even the slightest changes in your vehicle’s weight and weight distribution – advanced damping controls mean everything! That’s why the AMS Performance Audi R8 / Lamborghini Huracan Suspension System provides a massive usable range of adjustability. With it, you have the benefit of adjusting both compression and rebound on your R8 or Huracan with two-way adjustable front and three-way adjustable rear controls, in addition to your spring preload and ride height. Both the front and rear shocks also feature nitrogen pressure adjustment capability for a secondary ride height adjustment control or preload adjustment. This pressure adjustability allows for fine tuning the suspensions rebound characteristics, instead of changing rebound settings or spring rates.

Instead of creating a basic system that requires custom fitment and additional install labor, our team delivered a plug and play solution that mounts specifically to existing locations on the R8 and Huracan and is easily reversible back to stock with a few inexpensive replacement parts. Utilizing rubberized CNC machined billet remote reservoir mounting brackets to protect your factory X brace and perfectly fit billet covers in the frunk for a clean install, our engineers have gone the extra mile to keep your supercar looking factory fresh. The design of the new AMS Performance V10 Suspension positions it to be the best performing, highest quality, and easiest to install suspension on the market.
Countless R&D hours have been spent calculating and refining the AMS Performance Audi R8 / Lamborghini Huracan Suspension System by the AMS Snailworks© Engineering Team to be as effective as possible. Utilizing the 3D laser scanning capability of our Romer Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Arm and 3D modeling software, our team has been able to verify the geometry of the factory suspension in order to locate the vehicle’s center of gravity and pitch center to allow us to fully optimize our AMS suspension offering with data informed spring rates, valving, and compression and rebound settings ranges.
As with many AMS components, our race program paves the way for consumer product development through extensive R&D track testing. The V10 Suspension System is no different, as it is the same suspension found on both our 2300 HP ALPHA OMEGA Huracan, and 1500 HP stock engine AMS R8 builds, both running consistent 7 second quarter mile times. Considering all the advantages this suspension package offers for unparalleled acceleration, most racers would agree, it’s a track upgrade that shouldn’t be overlooked when making higher-than-stock horsepower and torque.
